Formula 1215 is a sci-fi suspense thriller by John S. Kennedy and Michael A. Bisson. Dr. Richard Walker is a man full of secrets. When a former best friend and the subject of Richard's laboratory experiment, John McBride, visits him after twenty years, Richard asks McBride to find his son James. McBride is now a powerful telepath and psychic who can manipulate people's minds and feelings and uses his abilities to carry out covert assassinations for the government. While McBride searches for Richard's son, he unexpectedly comes across the son he thought he had lost years ago. Meanwhile, an Arkansas senator is hell-bent on reviving his career by exposing the mysterious Heltrex. With members of the Senate ruthlessly targeted, McBride finds himself delving deeper into a conspiracy that has far-reaching consequences for the future of the nation.
Fans of political thrillers and conspiracy theorists will find plenty to love in this book. A potent mix of political intrigue, sci-fi elements, and thrilling twists and turns makes Formula 1215 an engrossing crime caper you won't want to put down. Readers may find that John S. Kennedy and Michael A. Bisson's novel bears a striking resemblance to Amazon Prime's hit TV show "The Boys" in terms of tone and meta-political commentary. The narrative has something of a slow-burn nature as the authors take their time to set up the characters and the plot. Richard and McBride's complex dynamic was by far my favorite aspect of the story. This is a book that will appeal to lovers of sci-fi and political thrillers alike.
